About this Project

The writing and interpretation of knowledge found within the context of this open historical resource were co-created and developed by undergraduate students in the Foundations of Western Culture course at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. By learning about the writing process, topics of educational authority and copyright, and the complicated relationships that can occur between audiences and educators, students were tasked with the creation of a page that shares historical background and primary sources, while also providing a filter through which knowledge is adapted for readers and visitors to this resource.
